About the Town Hall Tavern & the History
Town Hall Tavern, is run under a traditional pub tenancy by Jon & Sam. We are proud to say we have been a Timothy Taylor's pub since 2007 when the building and the business was purchased from Musgrave and Sager. The Town Hall tavern is ingrained in the history of Leeds city centre.
The pub is a historic Leeds venue, dating back to 1926 that re-launched in May 2011. Traditionally, it was used by solicitors and policemen who would sit on one side of the pub preparing for their cases, with the accused making the most of what could have been their last moments of freedom, drinking on the other side.
Situated between the courts and the Park Square Business District, with free wi-fi, Town Hall Tavern is the perfect choice to relax with fresh, locally sourced British food, quality cocktails, fine wines and traditional cask ales, with excellent Yorkshire hospitality.
The sensitive re-furb provides a vibrant interior and décor that is homely and comfortable, whilst retaining the building's traditional heritage and charm.
The menu, cooked by our dedicated team, has a range of delicious options to suit every palette and the drinks menu caters for all occasions, serving freshly ground coffee, traditional cask ales and contemporary cocktails, as well as an extensive wine list.
